About Counseld

Counseld is the complete workspace for school counsellors. It keeps student profiles, session notes, follow-ups, the calendar and principal-ready reports in one confidential place, so counsellors spend less time on paperwork and more time with students.

Who built Counseld?

Counseld was founded by Meera Manikandan, a school counsellor. It grew out of her own years of counselling work in schools, where writing up sessions and building reports by hand took time away from students.

Who is Counseld for?

Counseld is built specifically for school counsellors: K-12, any board, whether you work alone or in a team department. It is not designed for therapists or clinics.

What does Counseld do?

• Student profiles with a separate, access-controlled confidential caseload, kept apart at the database level.
• AI session notes: speak a voice note of up to 2 minutes, type a few lines, or photograph a handwritten note (up to 5 photos), and Counseld structures it into concern, observations, plan and follow-up. You can speak in English or any of 22 Indian languages, or a mix, and the note comes back in English.
• Daily log of sessions, meetings and teacher referrals.
• Calendar with day, week and month views and recurring events.
• Concern insights: Counseld suggests a concern category and severity, and you always confirm before anything is saved.
• Reports: pick a month or a custom range and get a principal-ready narrative with charts from your own data.
• Resource library for assessments, worksheets and tools, shared only through signed, time-limited links.

How do I get started?

Sign up free at app.counseld.in — no card needed. The first 14 days give you full access with 10 AI-structured sessions, then the Free plan continues with 5 AI-structured sessions a month and unlimited plain typed notes. You can explore with a fictional sample student before entering real data, and add Counseld to your phone’s home screen or install it on your computer.

How does Counseld protect student information?

• Audio is never stored. A recording is transcribed, structured into a note, and then deleted.
• Confidential notes sit in a protected layer that only the counsellor can access, and every view or export is logged.
• You can download all your data at any time. Account deletion is scheduled 14 days after you request it, and you can cancel it before then.
• If a paid plan ends, the account moves to the Free plan and nothing is deleted because the plan ended. A Free account's student records are deleted only after 60 days without signing in or using the app; we email you twice first with the date, and signing in before then keeps everything.
